Kashmir and Rajasthan Birding Tour
This guided tour takes you to the best birding sites of North and West India. The tour will begin at Srinagar and we will do birding in areas such as Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Kargil looking for Black-throated Accentor, European Bee-eater, Rock Bunting, Long-legged Buzzard, Upland Buzzard, Chukar, Great Cormorant, Lesser Cuckoo, Brown Dipper, Booted Eagle, Steppe Eagle, Plain Mountain Finch and Dark-sided Flycatcher. We will also visit Dachigam National Park, a game reserve turned wildlife sanctuary to protect Hangul, or Kashmir Stag.
Then we’ll turn to West India and will visit the Sultanpur bird sanctuary and Nahargarh wildlife park. One of the most sought after birds, the Lesser Florican is known to reside in this park in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Other birds found here include are Bristled Grassbird, Sind Sparrow, White-naped Tit, Lesser Florican, Rock Bush Quail, Rain Quail and Painted Francolin.
