The jewels in the crown of Himachal Pradesh are the scenic hill stations of Simla, Manali and McLeodGanj. These are popular summer holiday retreats. The abundance of natural beauty, rivers, mountains are the key elements as tourist attractions.
This tour lets you explore many facets of the Himalayan region. The journey will encompass interesting plains of Chandigarh and Kalka, working our way up to Simla, Kufri and its surrounding areas. After a few days, we will drive to Manali and let this be an early morning drive to avoid hill traffic.
Manali has its own charm of rivers, old architecture and spiritual temples, the influence of Tibet and hippies, great food outlets and adventure sports. Many short treks can be undertaken here. We proceed to McLeod Ganj – the seat of Dalai Lama.
McLeod Ganj is spiritual in nature and is like a compact energy system. The presence of Dalai Lama reverberates Buddhism; therefore, many international tourists are drawn here who seek inner peace. The Tibetan art and culture are preserved here in its true spirit which renders a lot of culture, culture and the feel of an ancient Himalayan town.
We will now be exploring an old British town named after the viceroy, Dalhousie. A small sleepy hamlet in the lower Himalayas brings you closer to the plains to Punjab. This is the ancient route to Mani Mahesh and Chamba, very highly spiritually charged places. During our stay here we will visit Khajjiar and Kalatope areas. Very scenic in nature, these places offer stunning views and is a big charm for photographers.
A few days here will satiate your appetite for a wonderful Himalayan holiday, beating the summer heat of the plains of Northern India.
